Pick your own fresh strawberries and raspberries at Graveley Fruit Farm — a family-run farm now in its fourth generation, just minutes from Stevenage and Hitchin and easily accessible from across Hertfordshire.

Our fruit-growing journey began in 1981 and has evolved over the years to create an enjoyable experience for visitors. Today, our fruit is grown in polytunnels, allowing high-quality picking whatever the weather.

Using a ‘table top’ growing system, the fruit is presented at waist height — making it easy to pick with no bending and suitable for all ages.

Fruit Prices & Availability

Strawberries – £7.10 per kilo
Raspberries – £12.00 per kilo

No booking required.

How it Works

1... Arrive

Head to the picking area and check what fruit is available on the day.

2... Collect a Container

Grab a punnet or container ready for your fruit.

Feel free to bring your own - just make sure it's weighed before you start picking

3... Pick Your Fruit

Choose your strawberries or raspberries and pick at your own pace.

4... Weigh & Pay

Bring your fruit to be weighed and pay based on what you’ve picked.

5... Enjoy Your Fruit

Take it home or enjoy it fresh straight away.

Before You Visit

Fruit availability can change daily depending on ripeness and demand, so we recommend checking our Facebook page before travelling.

Our fruit is grown in polytunnels, so picking can continue in most weather conditions. However, we still recommend wearing suitable footwear for a farm environment.

The ‘table top’ growing system means fruit is easy to reach without bending, making it suitable for visitors of all ages.

Please note that availability of strawberries and raspberries may vary throughout the season.

Please note that well-behaved dogs are welcome, but they must remain on a lead and are not allowed in the fruit tunnels.
